About

A Developer's Guide is a blog dedicated to explaining topics around psychology, neuroscience, productivity, etc. through software development.
Expect bad jokes and a lot of xkcd comics.
Why the Name?
I work as a Product Manager these days, but I earned my degree in Computer Science and started off as a dev. I'm not writing much code these days, but many of my perspectives and mental models originate from that background. In addition, this blog is primarily for people who write software.
(Also, I'm a Douglas Adams fan and wanted to evoke the feel of "A Hitchhiker's Guide.")
Me
I'm Jiachen. My pronouns are they/them and if you use them, I will start off at a minimum threshold of respect for you.
For must of the past year, I've been traveling the world and speaking at software conferences. Those talks have inspired much of the content that you see here. For more information about me and why I'm writing this blog, [LINK TBA.]
